It was only a matter of time before they came together.
They both understood what it was like to have an assassin as a parent, to want to be able to let go but can’t.
To be manipulated and used by Slade.
It hurt Rose more because it was her father.
It hurt Cass more because she was shunned by the only family she had.
They took comfort from each other.
Rose leaned forward and captured the Bat’s mouth with hers, relishing in the knowledge that Cass was a far better kisser than Tim. “How about we skip the restaurant tonight.” Rose whispered seductively, nodding towards the bedroom.
Cass smiled that smile that always made Rose’s day. “Fine, but you’re going to have to make it up to me.”
Rose grinned, she always loved a challenge.
