Summary: Their relationship wasn't as secret as Wally hoped.

“When are you going to tell the Bat?”

 

Dick turned to look over at his best friend turned lover.

 

Wally was sitting still for once, his long legs stretched out comfortably on the coffee table in front of him with a cold beer resting in his hands. His lazy blue eyes were gazing into his own with a small smile on his face. His relaxed expression contradicting the serious question he had just asked.

 

Dick gazed at the beer warningly; another rule Wally had gotten Robin to break from Batman’s strict tutelage. Wally noticed his gaze and just grinned.

 

Dick sighed, took a sip of his own beer and flipped over the channel. “He already knows.”

 

Wally choked on the unexpected answer and squeaked out a reply. “What?”

 

Dick nodded, wondering why Wally was so surprised, Bruce always found out everything, especially concerning him.

 

“What did he say?” Wally managed to finally say.

 

“After I told him that it was my choice to date who I wanted he didn’t say anything. I think it’s his own way of saying that he accepts it but doesn’t have to like it.” Dick looked down at his beer, watching the liquid swirl within the glass.

 

“Oh.” Wally lent back, finally relaxing again. “So he won’t be bothering us then?”

 

Dick turned at him and smiled, one that Wally found he didn’t like the look of.

 

“Me, yes. I think he said something about having ‘a chat’ with you though.”

 

Wally chocked again, not liking the idea of an overly protective creature of the night having ‘a chat’ with him.

 

“Don’t worry.” Dick said, leaning over to capture the speedster’s mouth with his. “His bark is worse than his bite. Unless you are a villain of course.”

 

Wally leaned into the kiss and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend’s waist, the beer forgotten.

 

Though Wally couldn’t help thinking that Dick’s words weren’t as comforting as he made them out to be.
