Title: He's not Gay.

Summary: Dick is sure that he isn't attracted to guy's, then why is he feeling jealous all of a sudden?

He wasn’t gay.

 

Dick was one hundred percent sure he wasn’t gay.

 

So why was he feeling this insane jealousy that had been nagging at his mind for the past, what? 45 minutes and 11 seconds.

 

The exact amount of time that blonde had been flirting with Roy.

 

It was rather shameless too, now that a few drinks had been consumed. It made him feel sick. Sick that Roy would even waste his time amusing that filth, when he should be over here with him.

 

“Dick? Have you been listening to anything that I’ve been saying?!”

 

Dick turned and smiled sheepishly at his best friend and shook his black mane.

 

Wally glared but then glanced over to where Dick’s attention had been so cruelly stolen.

 

Dick tried to keep his face completely blank when he inwardly cringed at the speedster’s knowing grin.

 

“Why don’t I distract Donna’s friend while you take Roy’s drunk butt outta here and tomorrow you can tell me what happened.”

 

Dick’s eyes widened at Wally’s bluntness and was both surprised and relieved that Wally approved at their soon to be relationship.

 

It didn’t take Wally long to separate the two as Roy lost interest completely as soon as he saw the ex boy wonder approaching.

 

“Hey!” He grinned, his eyes shining relief and Dick realised that Roy wasn’t drunk, but had only been faking interest in the young blonde women, most likely at Donna’s request and probably was pretending to be drunk to amuse the blonde. “Thank god. That had to be one of Donna’s more desperate friends.”

 

“Yeah, now I know why she was talking to you.”

 

Roy scowled and punched Nightwing’s arm. “This party’s boring, how about me and you go back to my place for pizza? Lian’s with Ollie so we have the apartment to ourselves.” Dick noted Roy’s casual tone and stamped on his hope when he realised that Roy wanted to only stay friends.

 

“Sure.” Dick made sure his voice was under tight control. “Let’s go.”

 

Roy beamed and slugged his arm around Dick’s mid-section, while Dick tried to calm the butterflies in his stomach.  

 

Why should he be so upset when he knew he wasn’t gay?

The atmosphere was warm and fuzzy, and after a few beers and large amounts of pizza all of Dick’s senses were subdued and he felt that familiar tiredness that came when feeling full.

 

The soft glow of the TV was the only light in the room, and after the movie had finished none of them could be bothered to get up and turn it off.

 

Sometime during the evening they had managed to get into a small fight over the last piece of pizza, with Dick holding it up and trying to kick Roy’s groping hands away.

Their bodies were still intertwined from the fight and Dick was content to feel the warmth radiating from Roy’s body whose chest he was leaning on.

 

Neither of them had commented on the closeness, and Dick wanted to keep it that way. He was starting to doze off, Roy’s chest really was a nice pillow, when he felt hands start to rake themselves gently threw his hair. He sighed softly before he could stop himself.

 

“Dick?”

 

He looked up and saw Roy smiling softly at him and Dick tried to remember the last time he saw Roy that relaxed.

 

“Have you ever felt differently towards someone when you thought you would never feel that way towards them and their gender?”

 

Dick looked up at him questionably and realisation dawned upon him when he saw the blush marring the archer’s face.

 

“Yes.” He said softly and leaned forwards so that their lips were only inches away from each other. “I have.”

 

And when Roy closed the gap Dick could easily admit to himself to be at least bisexual if he was going to have this everyday.

 

Yeah. He thought huskily and nearly melted with the heat from Roy’s tongue in his mouth. I can live with being gay.
